'Web Start' package – an all-inclusive web site for only £375
If you want a fast track to a web site - to advertise booking availability for your gîte or ski apartment, to publicise a business or service, or to start a renovation diary or an online magazine about your region - then this package is for you.
The 'Web Start' package is a fast route to an attractive, information-based 'starter' web site with capabilities to receive feedback from potential clients.
'Web Start' is intended for those who want minimal involvement with the technicalities and organisation of building their first site.
For a single payment of only £375 we will:
- Help you to choose a domain name (www.yoursitename.co.uk)
- Register (and pay 2 year's rental on) a .co.uk domain name for you, so that you have exclusive use of it (* see Note 1)
- Pay the first year's rental on the hosting space in which to build your site (see Technical Details below)
- Agree the site design with you
- Build for you a web site of up to 6 pages (example pages could include: About Us, Booking Page, Available Dates, Products, Services, Prices, etc) (* see Note 2)
- Integrate the page text you supply to us
- Integrate up to 8 graphics you supply to us, including your logo or business livery
- Add a customised 'e-mail Us' form so that visitors can contact you with sales or booking enquires
- Set up e-mail accounts on your domain so that you can send and receive e-mail as name-you-choose@yoursitename.co.uk
- Publish the site to the web so that visitors can find it
- Submit your site to principal search engines
- Deal with any technical aspects throughout the year in order to keep your site available to visitors
- Provide you with access to visitor statistics for your site
- Provide minor web page updating (including minor changes to text) for the first 4 months (not exceeding 1 hour per month)
Note 1. Subject to availability of the name. The above 'Web Start' package price includes only a .co.uk domain name. For a small additional charge we can register other domain types for you (e.g. .com, .tv, etc), although this is subject to our ability to register the domain type on your behalf. In practice this means dealing with 'unrestricted' domains like .com, .tv, .me.uk, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .cc, etc. We cannot register .fr domain names, for example, because of the restrictions on registration imposed by the French authorities. If you have your own .fr domain then we can link it to cheaper hosting space for you.
Note 2. Six pages are enough for the majority of small sites. Additional pages, if desired, can be added at a cost of between £35 - £70, depending on their complexity. However, users requiring much greater complexity in their web site - product listings, controlled access, large numbers of images, etc - should consider discussing a completely custom-built web site (see our Web Services Page).

NB. The above package and price is available only to Total France members. Non-members who are interested in a similar package should contact us directly for a quote.
PAYMENT - N.B. We are very approachable and easy to deal with. We are also easy to bribe with favours. In the past, we've been bribed with such things as the use of a skiing apartment in the French Alps, the transportation of goods and furniture to France, and bits of translation work. If you would prefer to negotiate with something other than money, then you are welcome to suggest it.
Payment Terms: After you instruct us, we will ask you for a deposit of £50 before we begin work. This covers our initial disbursements, and is non-refundable should you then decide to abandon the building of your site. Following receipt of this deposit we will issue you with a receipt and then build your site to your specifications and satisfaction, making amendments as necessary. When you are completely satisfied, we will issue an invoice for the balance of your bill. Your web pages do not become your property until that invoice has been settled in full.
Following completion, we will give you a tutorial on how to access various data and statistics relating to your site, and will then undertake the submissions of your site to various of the major search engines.
